Giving Days are taking higher education fundraising by storm. They are exciting, multichannel events for engaging existing and new donors. At this one day event, you will hear how Australia's - and one of the world's - leading universities have used giving days as part of their engagement strategies.
You learn what to do - and what not to do! - when planning your own giving day. Just before the event, the University of Sydney and ANU will complete their 2nd and 3rd giving days, respectively, so you will be the first to hear how their giving day strategies have developed.
What not to do!
The University of Sydney ran their first giving day in 2017 and will be running their second just a week before this event! Sydney's Annual Giving team will share "what not to do!" when planning your giving day.
Elements of success
QUT's first giving day in May this year helped the University to gain more than 1000 new donors and secure more than $1.6m. Adam Ruble will present the keys to the success of #QUTGivingDay.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem had just 2 months to coordinate 10 friends groups situated in every corner of the world for its first giving day. The result was $1m USD raised from 592 donors - with help from 139 social media ambassadors.
ANU has run 2 giving days but their 3rd will be just a week before this event. Laurelle will present the tactics she used to manage internal stakeholders and plan their giving day inline with the wider strategy of the development office and University.
Duncan will present trends in the sector and ideas for the next generation on digital fundraising.
