Senior Account Manager

We are an exciting and fast-growing startup, already working with one third of the UK university sector to create and deliver innovative fundraising and engagement programmes. Your role is to secure long term relationships and increase the size of our accounts, helping our clients further adopt our products and services into their fundraising and engagement strategies.

Reporting to: Head of Client Delivery
Start date: January 2019


The role

We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. Your role is to oversee all of our customers, renew their contracts and actively seek upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop the account management strategy
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers to monitor customer health metrics and coordinate customer communications
  • Ensure that clients renew their contracts
  • Increase account size through upselling and cross-selling
  • Work effectively with the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of client needs balanced with ongoing product development
  • Use Hubspot CRM to manage the status of your accounts, renewals and upsells
  • Report on client health metrics and revenue forecasts
  • Ensure that contract terms and conditions are met
  • Travel to meet clients when required


What we’re looking for

For this role, you should:

  • Have proven experience as an Account Manager (experience with HE or NP sectors is desirable but not essential)
  • Be able to build relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Have strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Be able to problem-solve effectively
