Strategic Account Manager

Reporting to: Head of Customer Success
Start date: March/April

The role

We’re looking for a Strategic Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. Your role is to oversee all of our customer  relationships, renew their contracts and actively seek up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of proactively building relationships and have a strategic mindset.

You will be working with some of the biggest names in the higher education and charity world, driving the account strategy of Hubbub's client base and helping our clients collectively raise £10-20m in 2019.

As our first dedicated account management hire, you will lead the creation of the function, with great opportunities for advancement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying an annual revenue quota, you will develop the long-term account management strategy for Hubbub’s customers
  • Understand and anticipate customer needs, to ensure customers renew their contracts
  • Deliver cross-sells and up-sells when it best suits our clients, growing existing client revenue by 35%, without compromising our dedication to exceptional customer experience (our NPS target for 2019 is +40)
  • Strengthen customer relationships and increase our NPS with ongoing communication and face to face meetings
  • Work closely with Hubbub’s Customer Success Managers to monitor customer health metrics and coordinate customer communications
  • Work effectively with the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of client needs balanced with ongoing product development
  • Use Hubspot CRM to manage the status of your accounts, renewals and upsells
  • Report regularly on customer health metrics and revenue forecasts
  • Ensure that contract terms and conditions are met
  • Travel to meet clients when required

For this role, you should:

  • Have a demonstrative track record as an Account Manager, growing existing customer base via contract renewal, up-selling and cross-selling  
  • Experience with Higher Education or non-profit sectors is desirable but not essential
  • Be able to build relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Have strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Be able to problem-solve effectively
